Chore Chart Generator

This tool builds a simple grid: one block per child, one row per chore, and one column per day of the week. Tap or click any cell to toggle a star (★) or check (✓) when a chore is done — the daily and weekly totals update automatically.

• Add children: use Add Child to create a block, then click a name to rename it. Each child gets their own set of chores and their own running score.
• Edit chores: click any task name to edit it. Use + Add chore within a block to add a row, or the trash icon to remove one.
• Track progress: the Star or Check mark style, week start day, and every completed cell are saved automatically in your browser's localStorage — close the tab and your chart is still here next time.
• Print-friendly: the Print button hides the controls and prints a clean, high-contrast chart sized for the fridge. Print it blank to fill in by hand, or print it with the week's stars already tracked.
• Fresh start: Clear Marks wipes just the stars for a new week; Reset Chart restores the default children and chores.

Everything runs in your browser. No names, chores, or data are ever uploaded to a server.

You can embed this util on your own site as a widget. Adding ?embed=1 to the URL loads a compact version with just the tool itself; no header, menu, or documentation. Paste this snippet into your HTML:
